May 1st National Action

A movement was born on April 10 when hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets to denounce HR 4437, the House-passed bill that would turn immigrants into felons. On May 1, immigrants all across America will once again march, rally, protest, celebrate and honor our country’s immigrant tradition by demanding a fair and comprehensive immigration reform bill.

Reclaiming America

Since the Vietnam War, I have not claimed “American” as my identity. Although I am a psychologist, meeting facilitator, and Chicano ceremony leader who has provided assistance on community problem-solving and strategic planning throughout North America and abroad, I have not felt the United States was my community, and I never fully offered my services, wisdom, and energy to “America.”
